In 1948, 1956, 1967 and 1973, Israel was able to defend itself on its very own against a numeric Arab superiority - and thanks to its excellent army, averted a genocide, because the Arab motto was and still is to this day, to "throw the Jews into the sea".
For decades, European governments and the EU Commission have played a half-hearted game on the Middle East issue. While solidarity with Israel was and is the subject of routine lip service, there has been a lack of effective efforts to look for the causes of terrorism that threatens the existence of the Jewish state and to consistently put an end to it. Even the basic insight has not been grasped that this is not a common war which could be ended with a military victory – a fact clearly proven with the disastrous outcome of the “war on terror” in Afghanistan.
The results of psychological science were also ignored. This has long since located the origin of terrorism in the self-perception of a closed (social, religious or ethnic) group that perceives itself as a victim of unfair treatment and oppression.
Because different radicalizing factors (e. g. an extremist environment with religious fanaticism) have different effects on individuals, a core group that is prone to violence emerges and receives moral support from other, less radicalized people. Eliminating members of the core group, e. g. by the judiciary system reinforces solidarity effects among previously less radical individuals, which let them join the ranks of active terrorists.
Therefore, since October 7th, Israel does not need military aid, as offered by Western politicians, but URGENTLY effective support in eliminating the actual, namely psychological causes of terrorism - especially since their origins clearly lie in the West. For decades, more and more media, NGOs and organizations associated with the UN have been involved in a subtle distortion of Israel's legal position and history. In such false narratives, the above-mentioned self-perception as mistreated victims of Jewish settlers is suggested to Arabs, which, viewed historically correctly, they are not. Rather, all can see themselves as victims of polarizing British politics during the mandate period. One example among hundreds is the appointment of the “actually” convicted rebel and Jew-hater Amin al Husseini as Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, who was also allowed to cooperate with the Nazis until 1937.
It is the artificially manipulated self-perception of the Palestinians that represents the psychological basis of terrorism - reference https://www.frieden-freiheit-fairness.com/buch/kapitel/die-inszenierte-nahost-tragoedie. Only factual information and the development of mutual understanding can provide relief, while counter-violence that goes beyond the evacuation of necessary security strips has a counterproductive effect and allows new Hamas fighters to move up.
But also, the decades-long practice of European governments and the EU Commission of repeatedly filling the coffers of the Palestinian Authority turns out to be counterproductive, because from there right-out pensions are being paid to convicted terrorists who are imprisoned in Israel (pay for slay).
Likewise, the UNRWA receives funds, while the organization is still allowed to pursue the absurd practice of granting an inherited status as refugees to the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the Arabs who fled in 1948 and were housed in camps. Thus, 700,000 refugees could become 6 million. UNRWA continues to let carry out inflammatory propaganda against Israel and Jews in its camp schools.
In the current war, it is important to realize that the radical Palestinians have learned to wage an information war with themselves in the role of victims. As a result of this, they are declared freedom fighters by NATO partner Turkey, among others, while global anti-Semitism is increasing and the Europeans continue to take in refugees and pay.
